Somatic Yoga with Iara Lamat

somatic-1.jpg

Do you need to breathe more deeply? Looking to reconnect with your inner self? Ready to feel better in your body? Movement is the medicine.

Somatic yoga explores movement, its benefits for the body, mind and soul. Instead of focusing on the perfection, you'll explore how each move feels within your body. You'll support both your mental and physical health. You will learn to focus on the breath as your anchor.

The practice of somatic yoga can help relieve chronic pain, like back, neck or joint discomfort, and reduces stress and anxiety by relaxing muscles, diving into movement and calming the nervous system.

Iara Lamat

Iara began her journey in movement as a contemporary dancer in Buenos Aires, where she also started teaching at a young age. After moving to London, she discovered yoga in 2007, which transformed her life. Iara has since trained extensively in mindfulness, meditation and Zen practices, and began teaching yoga in 2010. Her experiences, including time spent in the Amazon and further studies in YIN Yoga and Somatic movement, have deepened her understanding of the body's connection to stored trauma.
